Bharti Airtel started its telecom services business by launching mobile services in Delhi (India) in 1995. Since then there has been no looking back and Bharti Airtel, the group’s flagship company, has emerged as one of the top telecom companies in the world and is amongst the top five wireless operators in the world. Airtel is operating in 17 African countries.

Airtel was launched in December 2000 in DRC and is now one of the leading company providing cell phone services to over 11 million Congolese. Airtel DRC is committed to a variety of social projects including school construction and the provision of school supplies.


Vodacom Congo was launched on 1 May 2002 after analysis showed the growth potential in a market which at the time had only 100,000 telephones for more than 60 million people. It is now one of the leading telecommunications operator in DRC.

Vodacom in the DRC is an operating company of Vodafone Group Plc., the world's leading mobile telecommunications company, with a significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States.


Orange S.A. is a French multinational telecommunications corporation providing mobile, landline, internet and IPTV services. Orange is one of the largest operators of mobile and internet services in Europe and also in Africa where it has adapted its offer with success through applications such as Orange Money.

Orange DRC launched its offers and 3G services in December 2012 and is now well established in this market.


Africell is a mobile telecommunications company operating in The Gambia, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is a subsidiary of the Lebanese telecommunications company Lintel Holding.

Since 2012, Africell has a 2G and 3G license and has now more than 8 millions subscribers.
